WorldEdit Orient that works

WorldEdit's //orient command doesn't actually work. In fact, it'll rotate the contents of some nodes, but not others. Yesterday, somebody needed to do a 180-degree rotation of a city. We tried //rotate y 180 to rotate the nodes followed by //orient 180 to rotate the node contents. We fo...

CoderFruit

To quote from the Tweet which announced this: This is a preview of the next release of CoderFruit. High-resolution high-nutrition #gamedev replacement for dull old #Minetest 8-bit fruit. More choices, more pixels, better for body and soul. After looking at this, I want to go find a late-night fruit...

Background

Some new OldCoder MT modsets and/or entire "_games" have been under development for a few years. CoderSea, for example, was nearly ready for release in Spring 2017 when events disrupted plans. A partial list of subsystems includes: CoderBase -- A large but lightweight set of building mods...

Lars Hofhansl

This is interesting.

Lars Hofhansl, a core contributor, seems to be a key figure at Salesforce. If this is true, it brings Salesforce Public Relations as well as Team Apache into the space of Andrew Ward's and Auke-Jan Kok's 2017 activities.

More as research continues.

Letter to Mircea Kitsune

This is a letter to Mircea Kitsune, whose IRL name translated to English seems to be either Alexander Philips or Philip Alexander. He lists his name as Filipescu Mircea Alexandru and the "-escu" part translates to "son of". So Filipescu is probably the family name, but I'm n...

Poster info theme change

In the old Minetest phpBB3 theme, poster info went into a column on the left and posts went into a column on the right.
