I collect air nodes by crafting an air net:

XOX

X=BLANK
O=AIR ROPE


to craft air rope you need to craft cotton string and air block together to get AIR ROPE.

It is buggy though.

I always found strings from cobwebs more reliable - although if you harvest cotton as far away from water as possible it is almost as light as cobwebs

Thank you Nubm. I just realized there is no crafting to make a hot air sword out of hot air. Made a pull request on github to fix it.

You can find the Scroll of Air ingame, it has some information about crafting and also a note about git and the devs. But i haven't looked close enough at the code to know how to obtain it.

I've got, like 100500 diamond blocks but haven't seen any scrolls..

Just read your warning after putting a hot sword (in fact glowing! Is plasma implemented?) in a wood chest. Now my wooden castle is burned down. But i have backups so not much is lost.

i still don't know if this topic is just a joke or actually real ...
but since i don't want to appear as a stupid person who can't use the airsword, i will just play along:

i noticed that an airsword made from maritime air is more durable than a sword made from dessert air.
the dessert air is just too dry and causes the sword to crumble after some time.
always use maritime air.
but don't use air from the middle of the ocean. if the air is too wet, it will make the sword heavy and slow.

When I have cookies for dessert, then they crumble after some time. I think you mean "desert" in this case.

My first impulse was to call him on that earlier. But didn't know how to do it in a few words without being too harsh. I was on my phone and it's too much hassle for me put much effort into posting.

Can we please concentrate on the mod? It looks like many people have problems getting the Scroll of Air, me included.

I looked at the code last week end, but it is so hack-ish and my lua knowledge so limited that i couldn't figure it out.

Is someone here able to enlighten us how to get the Scroll or if it even is possible to get it through normal gameplay?

I think I discovered one of the secrets. It IS impossible to get the scroll of air in regular gameplay, UNLESS you have the fly privilege!

Am I correct on this?

I must say, I stand corrected. The air sword is quite powerful!

A word of warning, don't try a few of them in a technic compressor, the compressor won't survive and the air swords shoot out EVERYWHERE!

i just discovered something nw about the airsword:

do you know the story where jesus uses a single bread to feed an entire army?
he broke the bread into many little pieces and distributed them among the people and the bread lasted forever as he continued to break off small pieces until he gave the last piece to the last person.

now, if you use an axe to fell a tree, you get a set number of wood blocks.
even if you cut them to planks and divide them into smaller pieces, they are limited.
but if you use the airsword to cut the wood, you can cut as many pieces as you want and you will get just as much.

i haven't tried yet if the airsword can also cut stone and other hard materials, but if it does, i will use the airsword to cut diamond stairs for my house.
