Today, I was working on the story mod.
You will be able to script the story using a simple scripting lang!
The scripts will look like this:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
$dialog test
$pos random
$create
$wait
$quest placenode default:wood 10
$dofile testscript2
...

This will place a character at an random location. If you right click him/her, he/she will talk to you. After you talked to him/her, you will get the quest : "place 10 wood".

I added some new commands to the story scripting lang:
  • $wait (waits until the player speaks with the character
  • $place <name> (sets the story pos to a place - places mod)
  • $next <part> (sets the next script)

The story is progress now saved!

No, it is already in-game and it works great!
I still have some problems with the animations, bc minetest can't read the frame rate, I think I really need to update blender :)

I played on the pixture server and I saw Dragonop's cactus farm.
I wanted to make deserts more interesting, so I added cactus :

Lots of subgames have place saving. They're also completely different mechanisms, one provides teleporting the other provides waymarks.

Even so, does it even matter if they were inspired? Competition makes better products.

Ok, I am back!
Today I finished the new quest system!
I also added some new cmds to the clan system .
  • /leave_clan <name>
  • /my_clans

PS : ExcaliburZero removed these backup files!
