I agree, however, that would make it like ROBLOX XD

And how you imagine then the game to be still playable? Do you want disable interaction when looking behind you or do you want have a player model that animation is digging toward the camera but destroing a block behind itself?

IMO that "stupid MC way" is fine for the beginning...

It shouldnt be "playable" (i.e. you cant dig nodes) while you are in 3rd person view.

I like the idea of having the 3rd person option, but I also like having a pure "spectator" version as well. no interaction, but able to move the camera around the body. maybe have the option of holding "alt" down to change camera position, and have it snap back when "alt" is release. just an idea.

If you want such a free view, why not take a mod like Doppelgänger? Of course it wouldn't be "you", and others would see "you" as where the server believes you to be, but for all practial purposes, it ought to be the same.

Even oOChainLynxOo finds this new adittion to be exciting. Now, if someone would just make a build with RealBadAngel's normal-generating patch in it, things would be very nice.

Cause then I have to gets other's to install it on their servers :P. if it's in the client, then it doesn't take a mod.

I REALLY love this. This is SO cool! I really hope this makes it into the next release. I just have one qualm about it... MC does the samething, and that is that the cross hairs are on the back of the chars head.I really dont like this because I cant see what im mining...

Rather than different modes, what this should do is let you have a button for making the camera freely move. It could default to middle mouse button, since that isn't used for anything, currently.

It could let people see anywhere (even in areas that are supposed to be private), so that should probably only be enabled if you have some privilege.
