Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

THE SERVER IS UP AGAIN!!

I removed the lifter mod, it was causing all the problems.

I've grown quite fond of the ethereal mapgen, maybe we should make a new map and then migrate all the cool buildings to it, so we have all of them concentrated in one place. what do you think?

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

Orwell, can you upload your advtrains demo map? Maybe I'll build the new Linuxworks map based on your map, as it already has subways in it. Also, I'll upload the map tomorrow, feel free to extract any buildings you want to recover (if you're able to, I haven't so far), I'll insert them into the new ...

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

There is right now some empty map, for test purposes, I have to try to isolate the problem in the next days to see if I can isolate it and solve it. I have got backups of the last (broken) state of the server

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

The Current state is that the server database got corrupted, and I haven't got any backups. I guess I deserved it. Maybe the server should be relaunched from ground up, and maybe some buildings can be recovered and moved. What do you think?

Server is down now. I don't know what causes this, but it's neither advtrains nor technic.

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [1.6.7]

I think that instead of making a modpack with tons of trains, someone should write a script to download them. I could do it, but it would probably not run on Windows, as I don't have access to any Windows machines.

Cage, have you rotated the tracks using a screwdriver? That could be the problem.

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

The server is down, because of a bug in the minetest engine (see https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/5169 ). I don't know how long it will take to fix this, and I may be moving this server to use git minetest instead of the Debian release soon, as a couple of bugs that were fixed a couple of...

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

The server is running relatively normally, it just seems to get slow from time to time, I don't know why that happens. Also, I just wanted to point out that just because there is a guy called Trump on my server that doesn't mean I endorse Trump's views.

@orwell, was that station inspired by Dresden HBF? It really looks like it with the elevated tracks on the side. Awesome videos, btw.

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [r. 1.4]

This mod may trigger a weird bug, that was actually fixed a couple of days ago (see https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/4067 and viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16483). A temporary fix is just raising max_objects_per_block to 200 or so. Let's see if that works.

I've got updates from the server instability. I get a lot of messages that last_pos and prev are not available. Could this be it?

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [r. 1.3]

I can't find it either. Btw, nice train models!

Also, I've found out that the server crashes still persist in the newest version.

Edit: I've found the door opening code. It's here: https://github.com/orwell96/advtrains/b ... it.lua#L20

I think advtrains is currently making servers unstable with 0.4.15. Can you investigate a bit on this?

Re: LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

Advtrains is causing the crash when teleporting to a particular location, I don't know how to mitigate it, I don't have much time right now to debug this stuff.
