ClaudiusMinimus have you tried it with fewer graphics options in the settings menu? I have nothing checked in my menu, and I do not get that error. I do not have 3D clouds checked. Maybe you can fix it that way?

I have been unable to find any obsidian. I have dug down to a lava flow next to a lake and made the water touch the lake -- producing more cobblestone. Where can I find some obsidian? Thanks.

No I only made a change to the file. I think the lua compiles every time you run the game, and I did not need to recompile minetest either. The versions of Lua on my system are 5.1 and 5.2 and I am running Ubuntu 16.04 with minetest 0.4.15 running in place. Its not installed from packages.

At the crafting table the recipe for a Volvagia Spawner has two things in it that show as 'Unknown Object'. I think they are supposed to be lava buckets. What is the best mod to use to get lava buckets?

Looking back this probably was caused by running the game directly and starting from the wrong dir. Probably I started it from /bin like so: ~$ ./minecraft and should have done this instead ~$ ./bin/minecraft.

Could you show me the best set of mods to put in for this subgame? I have a bug report in here, and I want to get this working. I have a feeling it has something to do with the set of mods or some basic setting in the mintest.conf. I must have some setting wrong.

It seems like minetest has more developers. Hopefully that will result in better code that takes advantage of new developments like Vulcan (the replacement for OpenGL). I'm glad voxelands is doing well, too.

When you say you've removed everything and reinstalled, what exactly have your removed? I know of several things you have to take out. Could you have missed something such as the .minecraft folder in $HOME ?

I have removed all minecraft traces, upgraded my Lua library to 5.2 and recompiled. I still get the experience error in Lua. Next I may try learning more about Lua. Maybe its a cast problem or typo.

I lost the original compile! After compiling it again I am unable to reproduce the error. Dice2 works fine in place. Its good that it works, but I am annoyed that I lost the original debug.txt. Sorry, duane.
