I bet paramat could build a nice mountain generator (I think he already did), and with AdventureTest, we could achieve something of the standards of the this:

In a world where time is measured in the trivial metric: 1. XD another great quote from you. I don't think we can predict when that will come out. I thought so... Re: UDP or TCP? Should we use buffered streams?

'Good enough' isnt good enough. We should strive to excellence. I'd actually apply this thinking to Minetest. Since the engine has so much potential and so many features already, it's sad to see it put down by little issues like this. When you can't even follow a player around on a server with a go...

Actually, stuff has moved to the wiki, and it is now more filled up and stuff. Instead of working on a manual alone, I now edit the wiki.

Re: Icon Problem - FIX!

Dwarf, open up a terminal and type "lshw". Scroll the output, and find anything related to graphics. If you find that your computer uses intel HD as graphics, post here, and I will help you get the latest graphics stack installed. =)

Linux is not an Operating System per se. Tell us which distro you are using. For example, I use Xubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit.

How about attaching an invisible LuaEntitySAO to the player, and then manipulating that SAO? Kinda hacky, but might work.

Re: Quest for Higher End Graphics Support

If you hired just *one* game dev, he would recommend unity3d, as it is the fastest and easiest way to just start making games. TBH, if you are looking to make a voxel game for selling, you would go with higher end packages and stuff for the game. But with Minetest, which is free and entirely open so...

Re: Tedypig's General Discussion about being new to Linux

Just saying, my dual core 1.9 GHz Celeron 1005M kicks ass. 45+ fps with shaders and shiz enabled, with a nice high viewrange. I also ran a server on it with heavy mods such as mesecons and the like with low lag. If you are looking at AMD APUs, I'd recommend the 4.0 GHz Kaveri. It has enough power fo...

How hard is "official" anything on Steam? I mean, you can play beta software there, already. To get Minetest onto Steam, you need to get a community greenlight, that is, get a significant number of steam users to agree that Minetest is indeed a game that deserves being on steam. With the ...

Don't blame anyone for "stealing" a mod unless you have checked the mod codes and textures; Again, this is mostly irrelevant here, as all mods are open-source, and all one needs to do is give credit. This is a free culture environment, you are free to do whatever you like to. Also, please ...
