Forum PMs: More visible notifications?

Why does this forum software not have an indicator for the number of unread PMs in bright red like pretty much every other forum? At the moment, "PM" in the corner simply turns bold if there are unread messages, which is so subtle it can easily be overlooked completely. This can be a real problem if...

I like the map. Its fun. :) Well I'm pleased to hear that. :-) Will you make a video with Minetst too? I hadn't really thought of videos, no. But maybe we should invite the real Stampy to try out Minetest in one of his YoutTube videos and visit this map. With player_textures installed he could even...

It's a small amusement park with a roller coaster, boats, a swimming pool, a helicopter and so on. Somehow this map doesn't get along with my installed mesecons however. The helicopter is completely white and untextured for me.

One more related issue - if you use fast and fly mode and get ahead of the chunk/block loading, as MT catches it it will sometimes draw the distant chunks and not the closer in ones. You have to move closer before those near by chunks will be loaded and drawn Moving downward towards the surface in ...

Just select a region in your source world and "//save mymodel". Then copy the "schems/" directory into the destination world directory, load it up, mark the correct node, and "//load mymodel". WorldEdit always loads models so that pos1 is at the lowermost x/y/z coordinate, so the node you need to ma...

*High Five* Go ahead! I'm very interested in these mods and if you can improve them, then it'll be dang awesome BTW, so far I've forked minetest-particles, throwing, and minetest-hatches for my map ( https://github.com/mdoege?tab=repositories ). Not exactly huge changes, but it's a start. The parti...

For any NPC mod or moving entity to run properly, you need to have a system that is fast enough. carts do turn left at intersections. Check for any broken tracks or any shenanigans. The problems you desccribe are similar to what my brother experiences on his older computer. I mean if you ride in a ...

He constantly watches that British guy on Youtube who does Minecraft shows. He seems to get alot out of that and builds things similar those shows Have you shown him my Stampy map yet? I haven't seen him yet, but I'll definitely set it up for him. So maybe maps with kids in mind with certain themes...

I'm trying to create an ocean, so what I do (with the world restored from backup) is to move the terrain downward ("//move y -15"), followed by replacing air with water_source. If I use "//replace air water_flowing" instead, I get much smaller shadowy areas, so your suggestion seems to be an improve...

How can I reliably remove bright or dark areas left by WorldEdit commands? "//fixlight" never seems to fix anything for me, even if it claims updated nodes. Putting a big hovering dirt block over the whole area, then replacing it with air eliminates shadows sometimes, but not always. I would like to...

Map update #6 Stampy's shops have been added, so the flower shop, Stampy's Overwear, Stampy's Hot Buns, Pick-A-Pet pet shop, the Melon Moments fruit stand, the toy shop with its hidden underground room and the Crazy Cow milk bar are now all open for business, which is very convenient whenever Stamp...

Map update #5 Thanks to some WorldEdit trickery, the club house building has been moved to its correct position and is now fully built inside. So the living room, kitchen, inspiration room, library (with Stampy's hidden treasure room!), and swimming pool are all there now. The S.S. Stampy (with her...

I suppose if you cover the water-dispensing tower with a little obisidian to protect itself it would be the perfect place for raining fire and destruction on the rest of the map. :-)

Ha ha, this is hilarious. I'm glad they liked it!

I suppose Stampy now needs to go and build an impentrable wall of cakes around his house to protect it from griefers. Stampy style! ;-)

Map update #4 The map now requires some additional mods (see first post for GitHub URLs): carts, food, mesecons, itemframes, and hatches New buildings on the map include the emergency igloo near the spawn point, a minecart track that doesn't yet work so well (needs more power rails I suppose), and ...

On Linux, minetest.conf is in the hidden ".minetest" directory in your home directory. So you get there with "cd ~/.minetest" in a terminal. In Dolphin or other graphical file managers you normally have to type in the directory because all files starting with a "." are normally hidden under Linux.

Well, before posting my map, I read in one of the threads on here that attachments were the recommeded way to share maps. (Maybe also because external links can go bad while an attachment is more or less guaranteed to be available.) So I used the recommeded method and mistakenly assumed that attach...

How to replace attachments?

Is there a way to update attachments? People seem to be blindly downloading the first post's attachment even though it is an outdated version: https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?pid=130100 Therefore I'd like to replace the first ZIP file. But when I edit the first post there seems to be no way...

Map update #3 Stampy's lovely lighthouse (fully built inside) and the bridge leading to it have been added. The lighthouse is in a different direction relative to the house compared to Stampy's map because it needs to be near the sea. But it is about halfway between the (0,0)-spawnpoint and the hou...
