I should have set this up years ago. But it's no tale of woe.
Whether the temperature is high or low, regardless of cold winds blow,
away we go like Edgar Allan Poe, on now with the show. BTW rhymes are welcome.
Oh but I *so* much loved the look of the giant nuclear reactor! And the colorful HV power lines. Oh, and the charge meters on the batteries. Though the limited types of machines that could be built stunk. Oh yes, building a technic chain in the first place is a good and enjoyable challenge. It's a ...
Is there any preferred format? mts schematic from WorldEdit? Yes, mts is the right format. .we can also be read, although .mts is preferable. My handle_schematics mod can be used to store these files. It's easier than WorldEdit as it saves the files with the right filename additions (depth of build...
thank you wery much! this helped me a lot, now i can make buildings made with worldedit spawn in the world! this will let me make a realy cool thing.... Have a look at my mg_villages mod. It does take schematics and spawns them in villages and randomly. It might be too complex a mod if you just wan...
Such a detailled boat model might also be of intrest for sunken shipwrecks in the sea modpack. Ships built in MT are usually too large and cubic for that purpose, and they do sometimes suffer from water beeing the way it is. Shipwrecks could thus be entities that would give their treasure upon right...
Over 2000 lines of code for angled walls seems a bit much. Just out of curiosity I counted the lines in my mg_villages mod: 5985 lines alltogether, with mapgen.lua (longest one) consisting of 1241 lines. Try to avoid repetitions in your code. From first glance: Take the collision_box definitions and...
Less ugly, useless junk. Mostly this is a server admin choice thing, but there are a lot of useless, ugly mods, some enabled by default. Poison ivy. Dryplants. Ferns. Molehills. Woodsoils. Young trees. (gee is this all in the plantlife modpack?) Some are downright infuriating, like "trunks&quo...
AFAIK the grinder is from rnd's machines. To my knowledge, they even grind diamonds. Which is not particulary helpful as melting the dust back together into a diamond takes 10 or more minutes of continued baking (at least last time I checked). There are other machines there that can provide continou...
In general, doing show_formspec on rightclick ought to be fast enough, especially when it's a node that will display a specific menu anyway. The usually faster pre-defined formspec is mostly needed for things that come with an inventory and where quick access is highly desirable (like locked chests,...
It might be getting a bit much - like your name suggests: too many nodes :-) - by now. The nodes are also quite specific. What I'd rather love to have would be windows that could be put up in angled walls very much like you did in your picture - but without the sourrounding material that comes with ...
This is an excellent map. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on what's going on! The cathedral (too big for a church) is very impressive. I'd really love to walk around all this without having to download the map first.
How do you handle tree nodes placed by the player? Sometimes digged trees are used as building material. It would be very annoying if they had to be digged again the same way as the original tree had to be cut.
Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately it's not what I'm looking for. I'm lookinh for a way to convert MineTEST's map to MineCRAFT That might not always be possible - or at least could only work if you limit the amount of diffrent nodes used. AFAIK MC has a limited amount of diffrent nodes, while...
The game recently froze my entire machine to almost a standstill. It took a considerable amount of time to get back to a console to kill it. It may have a connection to running out of disk space (hopefully not hardware problems). That's a serious bug to me. The other points in the list are - like tw...
It might be most helpful to point out the naming conflict to the modder who just created a mod with a naming conflict. There are so many mods out there that it's easy to get a conflict. There may still be mods which deliberately share a name with another one, but at least that's beeing discussed and...
Can't help much there as all I can do regarding the Android client is run and enjoy it, but I do hope it can be maintained. It's great how well it runs on even small devices.
Nice, clean code. Such small mods can enrich the game. We already have some mods in that direction, but it can't hurt to have more. The color scheme also looks friendly and useful.
This server has been discontinued due to general lack of interest, and people just complaining about it when they sign on (it's not "real" Realtest, it's not actually "survival", people can't figure their way around, etc). That's a pity. I liked the server a lot. Still, the comp...
Making builds that have content both on the outside and inside. Putting a lot of effort into landscaping and "natural paths" Making it intuitive and easy to find paths/roads leading to cool stuff (with minimal use of travelnets) Making the builds that look nice from all angles, not from j...
unified_inventory also has bags, though those are mostly items that store other items. They do not really appear ingame apart from beeing a craftitem. Your bag gave me an idea...how about changing the player model if and when the player carries a bag?
Why my NPC s are invisible. What do I need to do for fix the bug? I would thank your answer n_n. The character model - that which defines how the player char (and these mobs here as well) look like - has been changed. Just search for all occourances of character.x in the mod's folder and replace th...
In the meantime you might wish to take a look at the linuxgaming.us server and on VanessaEs servers. While beeing quite unlike Landrush as far as protection system and perhaps choice of mods go, they're both long-running servers where builders and their creations are valued and good tools for buildi...
The quintessential "village" in the outback would be the pub. And only a pub. Example one and two. Indeed, quite a lot of lone pubs :-) Where do all the customers come from? If you wanted to add another building to make a "village" a general store with petrol pump (gas) and post...
And, last but not least, the "real" castles. This particular castle was built on games.firc.de port 30000 while that still used to be a server running freeminer. The textures where slightly diffrent back then. They have changed since then. An old screenshot (see below) shows how the castle...
Diffrent situations require diffrent kinds of strongholds. Thus, a server (called FREEDOM) with hostile mobs (and player!), which did not even have any protection mod at all, just got a very functional kind of fortress built out of cheap material. https://forum.minetest.net/download/file.php?mode=vi...
Castles...hm. The fortified house on King Arthurs Land is intended to be an early medieval fortified house (kind of a predecessor to a modern castle). As things happen, the village nearby grew and turned into a rather huge medieval port town which would belong to a much later period. The inhabitants...
That's great! I've never really been satisfied with the way stairs can be built if there's a limited amount of space. The angled stairs look very nice, and I'm looking forward to use them in my buildings. Hopefully they can be found on servers soon.
And if you want to place several nodes with the same orientation (i.e. a row of nodes clinging to the ceiling), my replacer mod might prove very helpful.
