Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?

A moderator may decide how to use it. (demolish, complete, etc).

There are some really weird spider patterns around the new blobs in the map made by my auto-mapper, these are a total mystery at the moment, but not to do with anything from the redcrab server, just weirdness in my map-block handling i think.
If anyone wants the original world this is made from I can upload it if you have somewhere with 3G's or more free. The world sqlite date file is 2.4Gbytes at the moment and growing..
This world file now has metadata too, i copied the metadata from Sokomines grab into this & now my auto-mapper saves meta too, so any new mapping has everything.
Only misc weirdness is odd lighting caused by not correctly recalculating lighting when new map-blocks are added.

The actual map of Redcrabs server passed 4 GB a long time ago and was past 10 GB afaik when we last heared about its size. Unfortionately, that's very unhandy for download.
It would be intresting to see where the differences to what I captured manually are - and which parts of those regions differ from what mapgen would create (i.e. bear traces of player activity). Many areas may have been created by players on the hunt for papyrus.Erthome wrote:Miner, I can provide you with a place to upload the file and you can then post the link here so others can download it at will. It would be great if the relevant part of the map (=the part where players did anything) could be downloaded somehow. Perhaps a comparison between both maps is possible...

Pyrite has grown a lot. Perhaps a new town might be started :-)
