Well I am new to MT and related stuff. So I tried to learn by joining your server.

Crap, all players joining don't realise they have to type /vote to start the round. Maybe a banner should advise on how to proceed. Of course the banner should only become visible to those actually joining the server.

Now I need to report an issue:
I got MT v9 something, the newest. After the round is kicked finally kicked off, position and graphics are getting strange - pitch black with objects and players far. I even can't move around - what am I doing wrong here?

This is a bug with the server crashing when starting a game, I've fixed this.

Why shouldn't I update to 0.4.9?
0.4.8 is good but 0.4.9 is better

you can compile it yourself..
I reject your reality and substitute my own. (A. Savage, Mythbusters)
I'm not modding and/or playing minetest anymore. All my mods were released under WTFPL. You can fix/modify them yourself. Don't ask me for support. Thanks.

As you may have noticed the server crashes frequently.
I accepted this for a while, but I'd like to close the server until I've found the bug.
This may take a while so please be patient.

I actually found the crashes to be somewhat beneficial. it reset the map, restocked the boxes, and reset the armor, allowing newbies to be able to have a little more chance. once the bug is fixed, it would probably be useful to implement a restart every few hours, just to keep things from getting too out of hand.

Also, as stated before, it took the crash to restock the outlying boxes. could it be possible to make it so that the players inventories are redistributed to the boxes? might be some tricky programming, but it would solve the problem created by finding the illustrious lava, only to lose it the next second because the last opponent thirsted to death (which was a problem the last time I played, which was a while ago, because it was almost impossible to track or solve the thirst).

Just my input, hope it helps.

It would be amazing if a server like this was started again...

Any chance of this server being put up again?
