That lever looks very nice.
Appears to be a nice balanced mod, less bloat than homedecor.

Set this in your minetest.conf file and the pressure plates opening doors will work very smoothly :

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
nodetimer_interval = 0.1

I must not be seeing it, but where does one get dev versions of Minetest?
I'm usually not-so-grump. :3

Great mod! Thanks for your work.

I don't know if this is a bug or if is intended to be this way but when I put an tool in the frame it gets completely repaired.

[Update] I believe I fixed the glitch that caused an unknown item in the Work Bench to some users. But needs checking.

Requesting user feedbacks : would you like to see in this mod a glass showcase from whose you can place any items inside ? Would it be nice enough for you for decorating your buildings ?

All opinions are welcome as long it's a minimum constructive.

I like it! It definitely looks useful. +1
Does it use the same code as itemframes or is it done a different way?

I like it too, would use. What about a version with obsidian glass? I don't like the stripes in the glass because it takes attention from the item that's inside (ofc the framed glass version is good too)

I like the idea of the glass showcases. But I suggest to release them as a standalone mod, so that we can use it independently from xdecor. The whole xdecor mod isn't suited for every server.

Are you planning on removing the non decor parts from X-Decor since they each have their own mod now?

Thanks for the feedbacks - I'm still unsure about including the showcase though.

RHR wrote:Does it use the same code as itemframes ?

Yes, it does - with a few variations.

Dragonop wrote:What about a version with obsidian glass?

The obsidian glass texture is a mistake IMO. The absence of stripes does not help to have a "glassy" appareance and it leads to have invisible walls/floors when glass is connected.

benrob0329 wrote:Are you planning on removing the non decor parts from X-Decor since they each have their own mod now?

No, due to github's limitations of not including submodules in .zip; and because xdecor remains my masterpiece and I want to be sure everyone use all my best features by default. Except the crafting guide, all things can be used as/for decorations.

I would love to see this showcase in xdecor - it would make a great addition to homes, shops, schools and laboratories.

I would also like to support keeping xdecor together as a single mod. Due to the clarity of the coding, it is easy to remove or disable items if you don't want them, or create a specific adaptation as I have done for my grailtest sub-game. While I may have different opinions on aesthetics and other ephemeral issues, I know the quality of your coding is second to none and always works the way I expect. For that respect is due.
Grailtest is sleeping ...

That's exactly why I want an obsidian glass version hehe...

Well, I'm aborting the showcase idea : actually you can just drop your items and place a woodframed glass at the same position. And you get an item showcase.

Yeah, but dropped items are removed after some time.

Those glass cases are actually very decent and I can certainly think of uses for them.

Are there any Minetest settings or mods that would interfere with dropping/adding ingredients into the cauldron?
It used to work for me when the cauldron was first introduced,
but now the ingredients just sit and spin in place when dropped onto the boiling water.

I thought the itemdrop mod might be doing it,
but it still the same effect when its removed.
any tips would be appreciated.

I don't think so. But recently I converted their ABMs to nodetimers. You might need to dig/replace or empty/re-fill them.
