[Mod] Big Chests [0.2] [bigchests]

This Mod lets you craft chests that are 2x bigger than normal chests

Crafting Big Chest:

Crafting Locked Big Chest:

Wood, wood, wood,
Wood, steel_ingot, wood
wood, steelblock, wood

This mod applies to all parts of LGPLv2 or later.

Great idea!
Maybe you can make it that a normal chest is big when there is another chest next to it?

Heh, nice idea... you should make the crafting recipe harder to use - example: 1 steel block + 7 planks, like this:

X _ X
X O X

X being planks, _ being nothing and O the steel block.

This is similar to More Chests.

I really like More Chests because it offers an increase in size when you use more rare materials.

I do like your mods madchicken13, but perhaps you could make those similar mods better instead of "re-inventing the chest". =)

The new API allows next/prev buttons... which means you can have HUGE chests with pages of items. For some examples on how this works checkout my craft_guide mod, or the creative inventory in the latest minetest_game:

Graphical tip:

The inventory is to close to box's.

I would leave a gap and center the inventory

Works only with Minetest 0.4.1 because it supports locked chests sorry

heh, i think i told ya it wont work ;)
better take chest code from 0.4.2, then it will work with it, and with 0.4.1

Mods that currently work will not be moved to Old Mods; only mods which are incompatible with the current stable version. If it gets incompatible with the current stable version some day, it will be moved.

last stable this mod worked with was 0.4.1
