[Mod] Teleports [0.1] [teleports]

Allows players to create teleports, by placing 8 diamond blocks in square and then placing one more diamond block in center. Blocks are placed on the ground, not in the craft table!
Teleport randomly move player who stand on it to any other nearby teleport.

This mod code is licensed under the GNU LGPLv2.
License for texture is (CC BY-SA 3.0)

Upd: Rewritten everything to make teleports work more stable and use less resources. Optionally, destination can be chosen at the cost of one mossy cobble.

Lol, random teleporter. Quantum mechanics can be weird like that I guess. I wouldn't know really. I like your idea for creating(building) a teleporter. I would however make it less random by allowing the player to place a self chosen block in the middle of the 8 blocks. This block connects with an other 8 blocks that has a similar block inserted in the middle. Maybe random can still be there when more then 2 of the teleporters use similar blocks.

So if you place 3 dirt blocks in the middle of 8 diamond blocks you would still randomly teleport to one of the two when standing on one.

You propably have thought of this already. Yet I would like to hear what you have to say about it.

Nice to see a fresh idea. Assembling a machine in the world instead of the craft grid is great to see. I like the way you choose to do it also.

Well, i wanted to create as simple as possible teleports for my survival world server.
And i wanted them be not so powerful and predictable as travelpoints mod or teleport command.
You idea of making different teleports Bas080 is interesting, but i am afraid ExeterDad's wife will not like teleport, made of dirt :D

- but on the just-test server dirt is extremely rare and valuable. There are probably less dirt nodes on that server than diamonds or mese. :-P

A very good idea, but teleportation is too sensitive. It would be good if it's done in passing on the block.

I noticed that sometimes teleportation happens repetedly, you means that? Yes, needs to be fixed, i think i will add some counter or timeout.

Teleportation sometimes doesn't happen.
We must reposition the center.
It's far too precise to be playable.
It would be good if it's done in passing on the block

Changed it so that target teleport is selected from nearby teleports best matching player view ( teleport where you look ). This version is now used on viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12959
