That's a map of the 14 mb version. Most of the important parts seem to be included.
A list of my mods can be found here.

So, today I have the better (and newer) download...
The problem with the last download was the v6 landscape generator. In this version I use the singlenode landscape generator. As a result, all attractions are visitable, but all other is empty space! Literaly empty. So some attractions, you can only visit per teleport. At the 'Architektendenkmal' (Pos: 0,0,0), you can find all positions of the attractions.
The User on the map is on the fly-mode. To deaktivate the fly-mode press 'k'.

You can edit the file 'map_meta.txt' BEVOR you open the map and chance the line 'mg_name = singlenode' to 'mg_name = v6'. Then you can walk on the map as you want, but the buildings are damaged. (Trees on the roofs, holes in the walls...)

And the new picture shows the 'Königsburg' (Kings Castle) where I building at the moment. 20% of the Castle is finished.

@Morn76: I had a problem with the upload. But here it is:

In the last weeks, I had almost no time to play. Therefore, I havn't build much on Karsthafen. But the city is still alive. Currently, I am expanding the city with a slum. Here is a first Image of the new city district: Image

Thank you jp. I hope, you like the next things on my map also. :)

The Image this time shows the Karsthafen Südstadt (Karst Harbour Southtown), the slum of the city and a big tourist attraction at the same time:
Image

The outside of the houses in the new district are finished, but not the interior equipment of the houses. (Next weekend...)

Until now, I have build all things on the map without addons. In the future, there will also no addons required for this map, but in the next time, I will start using WorldEdit at the map and create a second town of the Karsthafen municipality at the Königsschloss. This will be a big modern city. The houses will be not so unique as in the little main town "Karsthafen", but I hope the next city "Königsdorf" (Kings Thorp) will interesting too.

Karsthafen and Devilstower are both near finished, but the last things are time-robbing and will be done rotational with Königsburg and Königsdorf.

The first house for Königsdorf is build at a separate singlenode map as a test and found for the download in the WorldEdit-Thread: https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7304#p147398

With the new version of Minetest, the smallsized map of my city is loadable without the problems with the buildings of the previous maps in this thread.
So today I present the new download-version of the map. Please load it with the newes version of Minetest. Versions bevor 0.9.10 don't load the map correctly and destroy some of the buildings.

Actual status of the map:

Karstharbour: 98% finished. The Inside of some houses and the undertown are not finished yet.

Devil Tower: 98% finished. Only the 'Vertical Town' in the inside of the top is missing yet. High in the tower is a hard jump passage for the using with speed.

Tennis court: 99,9% finished.

Kings castle: 20% finished

Footballarena, Tennisarena, Goodstower, Fairtale-land, Skykastle and Worldrace are only startet und under 5% finished...

At the architects memorial, all positions of the attractions can be found on the signs. You can find the archhitects memorial at the position 0,0,0. For visit enter "/teleport 0,0,0" in the chat window or with the coordinats from the signs to quick visit the other places.

Not only the loading of the map works now, with the new version of Minetest, Karsthafen looks nicer as bevor. Here 3 new images:

Image
Ruins of an old castle direct in the city.

Image
The market square with view to the church tower.

Image
The theatre at the harbour.

And here is the Download:

Have fun!

Hm... you can unzip it, but not load it with minetest?
I have downloadet it now, and at my pc it loads with the new build 0.4.10 version of Minetest with no errors and with the 0.4.9 version of Minetest from Debian with the demolished buildings.

What is the error message? Have anybody else the problem?

No, when I click on the file for open it with the unzipper, it appear an issue : "an error occured while loading the archive".

I downloaded the old Karsthafen worlds, and never had a problem... until now.

EDIT : I use Linux Ubuntu.

Then, I think, the download was aborted befor it was completed. Please download it again.
The downloaded file must have a size of 24.732.559 byte.

Please let me know if the second try was successful.

I have uploaded the map as tar.gz-File too now:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vo2b88cthnoapfh/karsthafen_2014-07-08.tar.gz
Is it working with this version?
And has other users the same problem with the .zip file?

I confirm it works perfectly with the .tar.gz file. I can open/uncompress it.

Thats good! I hope you have fun with the map!

And here is a segment from the actual overview map:
Image
The street in the north will build to the goods tower in the future. Between the unfinished street and the city will be a little park and a fishermans house.

I explored your map... Really nice work !

Using some mods should add more aesthetic to your city (eg. More Blocks, Quartz, Fake Fire, etc.).

I don't want to use addons. I will build the map for many years, and its not easy to see, what addon will work in 10 years... It will look nicer with addons, but I think to use the possibilities of the main game so good as possible is much fun too. ;)

The image this time: The old town Karsthafen from the air:
Image

But the next town area will look nicer, alone from the new blocks in the main game. So, I hope...

I love the map, good work. But after I explore it for about a minute, the roads get like three layers of sand on them, and some buildings get dirt with grass blocks all over their roofs. Is this supposed to happen? I re downloaded the map three times now and the same thing happens.

@jp: At the actual download, I deleted all unnecessary data from the database file. So the download is only 24MB big. But this version don't work properly with Minetest versions bevor 0.4.10.

Without deleting the unnecessary tiles, the map.sqlite file is over 6 GB big! After the deleting it is only 50 MB.

And here a picture of the Graveyard of Karsthafen:
Image
At the moment, a third of the epitaphs are missing. I search for more funny ideas for this.

Not sure If you have already seen this https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9901 but I thought you might be interested.
Also, I hope you don't mind me using this as an example, it was the best map I could find by a country mile.

Excellent work!

Don't mind me? I'am glad that you use my map. :) Thanks for using it.
At the moment, it's easy to become lost at the city of Karsthafen. There your mod is usefull.
In the future I will make a city map for Karsthafen. I think, your mod will work even better with drawn maps.

At the moment, I build a big hotel for Karsthafen-Königsburg, the next city on the map. In the picture, you see one of the parking decks inside the hotel.

Wow, this is awesome. Minetest could use this as promotional material in the website. And all of this built without any mods? Amazing!

I mean without any mods besides what comes with minetest_game.

And I agree with Solar's way. By building the map without any mods, he makes the map more accessible to many players. Because my mods set with Solar's could be very different. It would make the maps looks very ugly when I download and load it. But with the current way, I can download the map, load it without any missing block, and I can decorate it with my mods.
