If you want to put it on github, I can make some custom mods (and edit other mods) to make it a bit more like minecraft!

You are probably using minetest 0.4.1. Same issue here with this version.

Use Version 0.4.2 RC1 http://c55.me/blog/?p=1274

Works only with latest build. For all windows users, use Sfan5's build: http://sfan.sf.funpic.de/minetest-builds/c55/minetest-0.4.2-rc1-b6c12d2-win32.7z (or compile latest git).

Just tried the pack (downloaded from git) with version 0.4.3 and got
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
16:17:40: ERROR[main]: ServerError: LuaError: error: ...n32\bin\..\games\minitest\mods\default/leafdecay.lua:77: attempt to call field 'get_drops' (a nil value)

As it's in "default", it's probably not your problem, I guess?

I'm not a fan of Minecraft, but my siblings are, My sister plays both Minetest and Minecraft, so maybe with this, I can get her fully converted to Minetest. My brother will be harder to convince though. He only plays Minetest, but I'll show him this and see if it helps.

Thanks!

Better you post that on the topic of the workbench mod.

Hello PilzAdam,
I really like how this modpack is coming along! Also, Notch puts his stamp of approval on using as shown in the page's first paragraph. I figured if you had this, maybe you could make the modpack even more like minecraft? Keep up the good work - I know some of my friends will use minetest if it clones minecraft accurately.

I think it's from PilzAdam's throwing mod. I didn't read all, but think you could use post 1 and 10:

I could give you access to my repo.

I'll take a look at this. If I think it has potential, I'll maintain it if you'd like :3

EDIT: How behind are the mods included?

The mods in here are very outdated. Also Id like this to be up to date with the latest Minetest version, so you could use the common mods etc.
Do you have any Lua and git experience?

Lua... is grass green?
Git..
https://github.com/Traxie21/ServerExtended--Unstable-
I could use a tutorial on how to compile the latest version on windows.. I have yet to find a download for it.

EDIT: So I've updated most of the mods in this, and made it compatable with the common game, but one problem: The textures are now default. How would one fix this without a seperate texture pack?

Pilzadam, why the fuck didn't you credit Markus Person for REVOLUTIONIZING this video game genre?
