Technic has larger chests and if I remember correctly, you can split out just the chest portion and use that. But placing two chests next to each other to double the amount of stuff in the chests that can be accessed with one screen hasn't been done yet.

I extracted the double chest from the game as an individual mod.
All credit goes to PilzAdam, I just took the specific code for double chest. :)

Is this still being worked on? I like it! Maintains a good style, and also adds more features which minetest_game never bothered to. I think simplemobs should be there as well however :)

Seeing this, is there any game or mod that aims to be like more recent versions of Minecraft? I realize not everything can be exactly mimicked, but the current version feels really... old.
