Heres, How it works. Once you download the "Dwarves", you have to unpack the whole thing to the "Games" section in the 0.4.4 Games folder. The textures and a dwarves folder will be inside. If you go into the dwarves folder, I think there should be another folder inside it, cut and paste it into the 0.4.4 games folder. Next cut the "textures" folder and paste it into the Dwarves folder you pasted into the games folder. Then open up minetest and select t a newly made dwarves game :D, i hope this helped, Enjoy! :-)

look. basically, it shows that you try to run an empty folder as a game. which means that either the archive you downloaded is corrupted or you haven't properly extracted it. possible solutions: reextract contents of the archive (both folders go in minetest-0.4.4-etc. where bin, world, games folders are situated) or redownload the archive and extract the contents. what is size of your archive?

AND! INTRODUCING! HAND-TORCH! Torch you can't place, but only hold. Hold it tightly for it grants you the light!
no more mesecons, there is just too many of them. if anyone wants to add them - you're welcome to do so, but there are not included in default dwarves anymore.

Hey Mito551 could you add Animated npc by jordan4banez to this I think it would be a good addition to this up to you though

another problem with peaceful mobs is that they don't spawn by themselves.

It really isn;t proper to call Pobedit "pobe", in terms of the Russian language.

well, it's just a bit of rebrending. pobedit sounds unfamilliar, grumpy and unwanted to an ear of an english player. to get him comfortable with it I rebrended it a bit.

Yes the original version is by jordan4banez its players attack you if you attack them also I am intrigued by sapiers mobs but I am waiting for all mobs to be 3d and the lag to be reduced

It only sounds grumpy when pronounced using English-like pronunciation rules. Try listening to победа and победить in Google Translate. It sounds not lilke Pobe-EDIT, but pob-e-dit'.

well, where are you from? i can pronounce them myself - I'm russian. and I think it's better to call it pobe to be international.

UPDATE 0.9.8

textures now 16px! good, ain't it?
then, rotten wood, mossytree and mossywood. that's the stuff for ruins. come and get it!

the biggest thing would be two different versions - simple and full. the latest archive have them both. if full lags/doesn't work/you don't like - it's fine now. use the simple version!

Change visual_size in player.lua and character.png. ;)

Changing first person eye height requires changing C++ code though.

i don't think changing eye height is a good idea, though sounds cool. i have an idea about reworking sneak system, but that would require c++ coding..

In addition, there seems to be some sort of clash between item_drop and whatever is creating the canyons and rivers. It leaves a ton of dropped nodes everywhere in the canyons and rivers. The easy way to fix this would be to remove item_drop. item_drop is WAY annoying anyway.

Sorry to sound like a nag, I'd just like to see this get better.
