We ask that 'minetest_game' or 'Minetest' is no longer used as the name for our default subgame,
'Minetest Game' should be used instead.
The new name is now used throughout the code, in the header image, at the wiki and in the repository description (https://github.com/minetest/minetest_game).

IMO something more fitting would be better, ie. VoxyGen. "Minetest" and "Minetest Game" will still cause confusion, especially with beginners.

Finally it's official! Yay!
Today I learned it takes almost a year to rename a subgame. xD

And no, I will not participate in any new rename discussion. It was hard enough to get the subgame a new name in the first place.

I hope this will reduce the subgame/engine confusion in the future.

Yes, this makes sense! This will reduce confusion when trying to explain the difference between Minetest and minetest_game to newcomers!

IMO, 'Default Game' would suit it more what it is. Any subgame technically is a 'Minetest Game'.
