As of 19th Jan @ 20:34 BST, Clip's server is up and running and seems to be working fine...

server crashes constantly, it is set to auto restart

Seems one of the mods running is interfering with Protector Redo's chests, runs fine on standalone with 0.4.11, will check and see what's happening...

update: server is running 0.4.11 dev which has changed to doors mod that wasn't compatible with protector redo mod, this has now been updated to work with dev version and uploaded to github:

I think that might be due to forum settings and how messages and threads are bumped up by general forum activity.

I really like this server, some good people on it. Albeit a bit frightening when someone wants to kill you for your bits.

clip, does your server have access to an IPv6 address?(by the way I heard about your server after chatting with somebody on IRC)

If you have an IPv6 address and would be willing to allow me to play through such a connection this is what I added on my personal server in minetest.conf(Minetest/Minetest) when I tested concurrent IPv6+IPv4 connections out on my own home test server and it's probably what swaaws also did when setting up both the old and the new server:

I am sorry to hear that the clip server has been shut down. I have enjoyed countless hours playing on that server. I was searching for jungle grass as one of my last goals for the clip server. Thanks to you, as well as the admins and moderators for doing a good job. I learned a LOT about general game play through other players. A special thanks go to my PVP enemy/friend(really!) est31, who really helped with tips and tricks that ultimately improved my MT playing skills.

But alas, this will be the second of my preferred servers to have shut down in the last 2 weeks.

Sorry to see the server shut down... it was my first introduction to minetest and I learned a lot playing there...

It has been some time since clip announced to publish the map. It would be really great if we could get a link to the map, I have built many buildings there which I'd like to have.

Also, there were some big 100x100x100 caves. Can you share how you made them clip?

I'm sorry to see this server go, It was the first server I ever played on... Learnt a lot playing there... I don't know how many hours i've spent on here, but I know that i've enjoyed them. My thanks to the Admins and the killers/victims that helped me along, who ultimately made this my favourite server; you know who you are... Just letting you know that I will miss this server.

Hey guys I'm a really old player (haven't been on the server in a year or so) I think that there should be a 10 second timer for /home and /spawn. It wouldn't take too long to make, you'd just delay the commands. That would make ClipsVillan Less of a threat because it almost eliminates his cheap hit and run strategy. Have a good one everybody!

Achilles you should play on OldCoder's lott server. It's really cool. My username is WookieWarlock and I'm a moderator there. You may recognize my name, PeterPanda. I'm sad to see the server go as well. So many memories :( RIP Clip Public Server. You were one of the first multiplayer minetest servers I played on and the first I grew to love... PS if satchwell is availible he should join the server too. Bye guys
