AMD64... = 64 bits.

shaneroach wrote:I used the debian package and it installed but does not seem to run at all. (File ended up in usr/local/bin. Is that what it's supposed to do?) I click it and absolutely nothing happens. No Minetest in the list of processes in the system monitor. Nothing.
Also I cannot seem to uninstall it now. It cannot be searched through the software center's installed software function, and I have no idea where all the parts of it went. Opening the file with the package manager just gives an option to reinstall, not uninstall.
Sorry... =( I am having a very, very hard time getting Minetest to work on my machine, and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
Out of curiosity, what's Luajit support?
---->EDIT<---
I couldn't do it on purpose on a bet, but somehow the package manager came up on its own seemingly, and when I signed in I was able to find minetest in a list of software and uninstall it. The file is no longer in usr/local/bin, so I am going on the assumption everything else is gone too. Still struggling to get my install-from-source version to talk to the single player server.

For the run-in-place build, download and extract the new build, copy your worlds, settings, etc. over to the new one, and either delete or store the old build away.
VanessaE wrote:As far as I know, my builds differ from the ones in the PPA, plus I don't care too much for x86 builds (who still uses a 32-bit system these days anyway?).

I can confirm the 64bit works.
To install in Arch Linux issue the following command:Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
- Code: Select all
pacman -S minetest
You might need root privs.
