Can I help ?

by Dunatotatos » Fri Nov 11, 2011 22:51

Hello,

I discovered this game today and love it !
Well, I want to help to develop and promote Minetest.

My skills :
* I know programming in C or C + + but do not have much experience.
* I am running on Debian Sid and can create .deb.
* I am french and can translate some text into this language.

* And I would be happy to do any type of work you give me :)

Congratulations for the accomplished work !

There are people asking for Debian package, so it could be helpful.

As for the code, check patchsets and todo pages in the project Wiki. They could give you the idea what is going on.

Hi!!

Regarding french translation, I already did that so instead, you can manage a Debian package and send it to a repository for Debian.
Not here for a while due to some troubles between my graphic card and Minetest.

I think you need to check this http://celeron.55.lt/~celeron55/minetest/forum/viewtopic.php?id=394

And, yes, you can put the package somewhere and give the link to everyone who needs it, but adding package to the main distro repos is much nicer. Though slightly more complicated (as I see now working with rpm).
