Hey, some screenshots depict nyan cats having been generated above sea level? If so, then how often can I find them there? Can I just simply fly high and find them?

It's 16 slots by default in VanessaE's dreambuilder_game, and can be extended to 23.

I think this happen when you chance the mapgenvalues..like mountainhighs or baselevel.. this brings a little confuse to the highvalues... and the cats to the daylight.

How exactly does nyancat generation work? I edited default.generate_nyancat and found out that it doesn't always appear, even if l use minetest.get_node to test if the nyancat is there after generating, it somehow is not there or disappears when l come near to it?

Nice! You got 1 nyan cat and 15 rainbows. You can download my Mese Crafter mod to turn some of those rainbows into mese. :)

Not found by me, but by burli. Coordinates and seed in screenshot. I suspect the mapgen to be v6.
I repost this because of the remarkable length of the Nyan Cat Rainbow:



14 Nyan Cat Rainbows in row, wow! I have confirmed the existance of this beast by myselves.

As far I know the longest possible Nyan Cat Rainbow is 15 blocks. Go, go, go, who is going to be the first to find a Nyan Cat with 15 Nyan Cat Rainbows? ;-)

Edit: Okay, the mapgen is valleys.

A few days ago, on @test@ I have found a Nyan Cat with 15 Nyan Cat Rainbows (note: On this server they glow).


It spawned partly in stone, I had to dig it out like this to make it fully visible. I was very excited when I found this nyan cat and dug it out as I have counted the number of Nyan Cat Rainbows.
