It also shows none of the new features. It would be nice if a video was made each update on the minetestc55 channel.rubenwardy wrote:No, that video is too slow, has loads of sore points, and to personal.

I agree about the pyramid quote. While it does pretty much encapture the spirit of minetest, I honestly think putting profanity on the main page isn't the best idea. The "Minetest is developed by a bunch of random lunatics" part is just for humor's sake. And it is partly true.JMR wrote:I don't think the "Flying around in a UFO" quote is suitable. It did put me off a bit. Maybe consider using another one? ;) Also the text "Minetest is developed by a random bunch of lunatics." isn't very appealing, although it may be true, maybe word it differently. "Minetest is developed by a random group of developers who have a passion for games"?
I prefer a more clean look on a website, but I think the minetest website could do with being more responsive. I am also a web designer and responsive web design is getting more crucial.

Fixed.
But I have to agree with JMR. *crap*load isn't the best thing, I think that editing it a bit might help

I agree. An array of quotes would be a good idea.thefamilygrog66 wrote:JMR wrote:I don't think the "Flying around in a UFO" quote is suitable. It did put me off a bit. Maybe consider using another one?
I totally agree with that assessment. UFOs and pyramids have nothing to do with the core game, since they're both mods, and "shitload" is going to turn off some people, which is a shame since the game itself is suitable for all ages. Maybe change it to select quotes randomly from an array?
