I am not aware of such a fork, but this would be the wrong approach IMO. As far I know it is the responsiblity of the mod author to provide support for the inventory_plus mod. Ask the author of the craftguide mod to add support. If I remember, it is very easy to add.
But isn't inventory_plus currently kind of broken with Minetest Game 0.4.14? It screws up in creative mode, sadly. So I don't personally care much about this mod anymore. But if players still actually care about this mod, I might add support for inventory_plus in my mods sooner or later.
