Split bags from Unified Inventory?

Hi! After a discussion with VanessaE I decided to start a little poll aimed to users of the Unified Inventory by VanessaE.

The question is:
Should the bags from Unified Inventory [unified_inventory] be released as a separate mod?

The idea is, the bags will be removed from the Unified Inventory mod itself, and instead a separate mod is released which depends on Unified Inventory in order to extend it with bags.

My answer

Now that the mod "sfinv" is part of Minetest Game, it would be easy to make the bags compatible with the regular inventory too, without additional mods.

We already have https://github.com/cornernote/minetest-bags as separate bags on actual servers. I would like to see option to at least disable bags in unified inventory for use in survival servers.

I just saw that it can be configured with "unified_inventory_bags = false" at the minetest.conf and i'm very happy about it.

Yes and actually the bags themselves could be made into new sfinv tabs, (With the tab layout Crafting, Bag, Bag, Bag and so on). The bag items themselves would then sit in the main inventory.

It would reduce clicks needed to manage items, provided that items can be moved between tabs.
