Weird doors & sand crafting

Group items can be used in certain crafting recipe's which is a good thing, so changing colours isn't all that bad so long as you can use a weird wood block to craft a normal door.

Yeah, you can craft wooden doors from any wood and mix the wood at will, only the shape is important. This is why you always get the same door.
Same for sandstone, you can use sand or desert sand or “other sand nodes” and mix it as well.
By the way, this also applies to stone tools and furnace since you can also use desert stone to craft them. And chests, and trapdoors and maybe a bunch of other blocks.

If the color were to match, we would have to add new nodes/doors. I am not saying this is not possible (it is perfectly possible) but I am not sure if the developers want to have dozens of versions for the same thing. Also, it would blow up creative inventory with lots of similar items. On the other hand, it seems inconsequent since we now have different-colored fences but not doors.

Personally, I don't care much about all this. If there is 1 wooden door or 5, whatever.

But if you want diferent textures wood, i think there is a mod about that, or i do it for you!

It maybe takes a few minuts to make, but im talking about the default mt game, to make it vary :-)

Take the init.lua, search where are the nodes, and make that doors!

i have already made 26 mods (both simple and advanced), so know that stuff, we are talking about if somthing should be added to the mt game.
