What's the furthest anyone has gotten with respect to getting Minetest working on the HTC Vive, OSVR, or Oculus Rift?

yes, i too would like to know. there is so much activity in the vr segment lately.. it's pretty awesome all the competition and hardware. sandbox and open world games like minetest seems to be a perfect fit for vr!

I can find no interested parties currently working on VR for Minetest or the Irrlicht engine. It appears to be a dead end. What am I missing?

Minecraft can do a binocular hud and has 3D sounds, and I 'kind-of' got it working with a Google Cardboard, but it was a horrible hack. I'm not aware of anyone linking it with a Vive.
