Description:

Why spiffy? Well, because I like to keep things updated
and in their place. A nice peaceful world above, all
things wretched and horrible down below. Now, sometimes
you have to go retrieve things from down there, but it's
all about making a big splash in the above world, really.

Changelog:

1.0: Initial version.
1.1: Fixed a number of problems including sulfur generation.
1.2: Updates for mobs, flowing water can push items again
1.3: Added carts and worldedit, make a few tweaks Added homedecor.
1.4: Added ethereal.
1.5: Map generation changes for better ore veins.

Changes:

The main difference between this and the default mods is
that huge caverns are generated beneath the surface, lava
is far underground (very near to bedrock, which is at
-256 on your Y coord), and nearly all the menacing things
you might encounter are at -64 or lower.

Most of the ores you'll want are much higher than the
normal game. For example, gold can be found at -32 and
diamonds at -48.

If you go to -128 or lower, lava vaporizes water. If you
want to make obsidian, you'll need to go far beneath the
surface and collect lava, then carry it back up to above
that level.

Trees now work like cactus and papyrus--that is, you
chop/dig the lowest block and the blocks above will then
fall immediately.

For which map generators do you recommend this?
v5? v6? v7?

It's strictly v6 for the moment. I haven't figured out how to support v7 yet.

Okay, I've been playing around with v7 for a bit, and it seems to work okay at this point.

I think it's getting to be in a good state for v7, actually. I might take a break for a bit and put in some serious testing.

I think I finally have everything working with the current feature set. Time to plunge into more features!

I've been playing around with quarries, lately. Here's the result of digging all the way down to bedrock in one 17x17 section.

I just thought that I would let you know that you are using an old version of technic. In the version that you are using, the low voltage grinder recipe is messed up. The recipe is located in the file grinder.lua in the lv directory which is in the machines directory which is in the technic directory. It is calling for the output to be the technic:grinder when it should be technic:lv_grinder so that it works.

I have played the game some so far and it's pretty good. : )

EDIT: (Around 2 hours later) The lv_furnace is also messed up. Probably some other stuff as well. You might want to just get the latest technic. As far as I know, you didn't make any edits to technic so it should be okay to do that but you may need to upgrade mesecons and pipeworks and the other dependents.
