Apparently random crash in server.

by yohoho » Sun Dec 02, 2012 12:06

EDIT: it seems the player file had position coordinates of some insane values (well into the 10s of thousands). Resetting to 0,0,0 fixed it. I find this odd since the players real coordinates were of reasonable numbers just the other day and the player was within 400 blocks of 0,0,0 anyway.

5:59:10: ACTION[ServerThread]: PLAYERNAME joins game. List of players: PLAYERNAME
05:59:13: ERROR[main]: ERROR: An unhandled exception occurred: ServerError: LuaError: error: /usr/share/minetest/builtin/misc_helpers.lua:91: attempt to index local 'pos' (a nil value)
05:59:13: ERROR[main]: stack traceback:

Server is a daily build " 201210281842-0~1723~natty1". Is this an error in Minetest or a mod? How would I hunt down the issue? I thank anyone who helps me with this.
