you have to "compile the c++ minetest sourcecode"

there are instructions on the README.txt:

there are also some guides on the forums, search around and you should find something.

It is in Old Mods because it doesn't work with the current Minetest version anymore; the author of this patch seems to be inactive.

This isn't a mod; it's a c++ source code patch. It's for an old development version of 0.4 and doesn't build with 0.4.3. It is in the wrong section; it belongs in Engine Development.
