WARNING will reposition lots of nodes on your server, and it's fun to watch.

my sedimentology does exactly this, and much more, to simulate erosion of natural materials.

Do you mean your mod has the same bugs or does the same thing? Wen I got the idea for this mod I looked for a similar mod and found yours. I installed it and tried it but it did not appear to do the same thing.

sedimentology erodes things like stone, cobblestone and sandstone (and many more natural blocks) and will make houses built out of them fall down and erode away.

It works slowly, but steadily. It may take a few weeks of play time for a building to entirely erode away.

Stone tools can be made out of gravel. Stone drops gravel. Cobble is made out of gravel and clay lump.
Sand and dirt can be reinforced with paper.

Sounds very tempting. I'm just afraid that inexperienced players will just move on to the next best material. Wood is cheap and is often used in a likewise way. Also, lack of material is seldom a problem for those players. They tend to gather a lot and build "houses" which are way too big for their skill (which would be sufficient for a cupboard only). Quite expensive materials up to gold blocks might be used for that. For boring boxes.
A list of my mods can be found here.
