Hello everyone, this is a game for minetest called Moontest.

Latest Update: new textures for grass (looks like clay) and leaves (I'm not very happy how they turned out...)

But that should kind of use like grass and dirt footprint.

Oh and I got a way we, get to the moon:) and when you on the moon the Gravity is same as, the moon.

The Moon DOES have day/night cycles, so you could leave this as is. BUT this is how I would do it.

While in game

/time 4000 (I think is when the moon and sun are both down but there is a little light).
THEN
/time_speed(or whatever it is)0


OR
/time 24000
AND
make the moon smaller+brighter and give it a "sunny" texture....or Earth like texture.

Maybe have an earth texture and a sun texture in The sky. You could have both things moving at different speeds so sometimes earth an moon is up and other times just the sun is up.

To Modify The Sun/Moon Textures You Need To Change The Engine It Self Because The Textures Are Hardcoded Into The Engine

I Figured Out The Gravity Already, Just Add movement_gravity = 1.5696 to the end of minetest.conf. 1.5696 was one sixth of the default minetest gravity, 9.81

What Texture is That? Please put a texture name for what the texture should replace

Here are some features that should be in the mod-ish thingy:
-The dirt/grass textures should be changed to light-ish grey, maybe 75% grey, and the stone should be a darker grey (50%).
-The gravity on the moon is 1.622, (it is easy to change the gravity)
-It would be cool if the moon (in the sky) was changed to earth, but that's impossible, or at least extremely hard
-the deserts in minetest could be replaced by dark areas (like on the moon) about 15% grey
-craters could be spawned automatically, instead of trees (with the same common-ness, plus there are not many craters in the dark parts of the moon (deserts in minetest) and there are no trees there (in the "deserts") so no craters would form in the dark areas.
-lava only spawns VERY deep underground, and ice/water will be found just below the surface, but not that commonly
-maybe include the UFO mod
-the moon is made up of mostly the same types of rock as the earth, so ores would probably not have to be changed much.
-non-desert sand could be replaced by moon-dust, that is lighter that normal surface moon rocks

some of these ideas have probably already been added.

[WORKING ON]-craters could be spawned automatically, instead of trees (with the same common-ness, plus there are not many craters in the dark parts of the moon (deserts in minetest) and there are no trees there (in the "deserts") so no craters would form in the dark areas.

i think i can help with the night time all the time... i got this idea from ShadowNinja's server if set in the minetest.conf time_speed= 0 time will not change :)

EDIT: so if you set default time just a little bit before morning wile the sun is up it will be dark but still have some sun (if that's posible i will look if it is)... oh and i can i be part of this?

Why ask? That texture isn't tileable and will look like crap once used on any node anyway.

enable_clouds = false

this will get rid of the cloud because there is no clouds in space
