hello, good evening fellow comrades minetest lovers all,,,
I'm here to inquire about how to create a server minetest,, is there anything that would help me,,, I really like this game, but when I started playing, I see only your server, and I can not interact with your how to talk in game, I use Indonesian, when I started to step in tutorial all not working, when I play alone I can play, but when I invite friends to my server, it does not work at all, can not connect,, Is there a friend who wants to share a server for me,,???? I want to play with my Indonesian friends, and I really want to have their own server,,, thanks for the friends who are willing to share knowledge to me, especially if one wants to give a free server for me ... greeting of peace from Indonesia friend,,,

I can run a server.
Contact me on Freenode channel #minetest , i will most likely be there.
also, you can play on my other server: minetest.org port 30010, its super fast and has an epic map.
you type /listgo to list the places.

That topic also explains how to open a server to the Internet (however you will have to keep your client open, as well as your computer). You need a good connection to handle a lot of players at once too (at least 50kb in download and upload per player).

OOU be so, at least we need to stay alive computer and client applications are open,,, for the average website port 80, how to turn it into 30 000,,, the files I have uploaded to any server, what is quite minetest and minetest_game in dir games,,, or still others are files that I need to add

If you run the Minetest server program, it WILL be on port 30000/

Some ISPs give you a dynamic external IP, some give you a static external IP, you can't do anything against that other than keeping your router on 24/7.

am adding mods by vanessae and now i have an error in my server hahaha how i fix this,,, how to uninstall mod,, i was delete the folder but the same i have error not fixed

Realistic textures is not a mod, it is a texture pack.

ServerExtended is a mod for servers, to make it easier for admins and players to do stuff.

You have to rename it from "ServerExtended-master" to "serverextended"

i was rename to serverextended but the same,, its error for me

Are you using stable or unstable?

I'm checking this out now.

EDIT: Not good, I thought I fixed this ages ago...
I hate this bug so much, it dosn't make sense.

EDIT: Thanks a lot for telling me this. Apparently, on newer git versions, the file writing system I was using does not work. I'm going to redesign all the playerdata systems. TYVM.

EDIT: Again: The unstable version seems to work fine. Try that.

am using unstable,, for my version 0.4.4

i change the pat on int. /ranks/ranks.lua to \ranks\ranks.lua its work conecting to client and then server and then error againt hahahaha fyuhhh

You probably don't need it ATM, ServerExtended is for big servers. I'm working hard on redesigning/fixing this. Just don't bother please.

Just copy your world folders over when you update. They are stored in (minetest folder)/worlds.
